Dear Friend in Christ,

Welcome!

If you are reading this, chances are you are searching; searching perhaps for a deeper spiritual meaning in life or maybe you are new to Southern Maryland and looking for a new church home. Certainly, you are curious about who we are as Anglican Catholics.

Well, the first mission of the Church is the worship of Almighty God. Here at Saint Anne’s you’ll find just that! Our worship is elegant, respectfully formal, essentially timeless in its form and attitude. That does not make it an historic relic or sterile ritual. Rather it is a structured worship that allows the individual mastery over its elements and the ability to pray the liturgy on a deeply personal basis.

St. Vincent of Lerins in the early fifth century defined catholicity as “what has been believed everywhere, always, and by all.” It is by this test that we Anglicans consider ourselves to be catholic, together with the Eastern Orthodox, Roman Catholicism, and the Old Catholic Churches.

We are first and foremost Biblical. We believe the Old and New Testaments to be the inspired, inerrant Word of God. We also fully embrace the Sacraments and Traditions of the Church. This is reflected in our belief that Scripture, Reason and Tradition support each other.

Finally, we are a local and caring community and we would love to tell you more about us. I invite you to contact me directly with any questions you might have. Better still, Come See Us! We gather for Holy Communion each Sunday at 10:00 a.m. You can also consult our Google Calendar for an updated schedule of special services and activities.

With every Blessing and Good Wish!

Father Nick C. Athanaelos
Rector-Elect

This is the official website for St. Anne's Anglican Catholic Church in Charlotte Hall, Maryland, the only Anglican Catholic Church parish in southern Maryland. We are a traditional Anglican parish that features the liturgies of the 1928 Book of Common Prayer and Anglican Missal and music of the wonderful 1940 Hymnal. Please feel free to join us as our family gathers around the Altar of God to worship and celebrate the Holy Eucharist (Holy Communion, the Mass, or Divine Liturgy). If you have any questions, feel free to e-mail the parish office (info@stannesacc.org) or call the Rectory at 762-316-9540
